Abdullah Al Sharbatly (KSA) and Gain Line (Stolzenberg x Raphael) won Saturday's 1.45m Prix Maroc Telecom at CSIO4*-W Rabat. The 12 best out of the 47 participants in the class continued to the deciding winning round. Al Sharbatly's time of 34.80 seconds could not be beaten, although Tiffany Foster (CAN) on Brighton (Contendro II x Quick Star) got very close. With her time of 34.99 seconds Foster had to settle for the runner-up position, while Roberto Turchetto (ITA) on Adare (Roayl Bravour x Burggraaf) placed third. Simon Delestre on his new mount Casall 16 (Casall x Cantus) took the fourth place and the fifth spot went to Rodrigo Mesquita Marinho (BRA) on Cleofas Van Westuur (Toulon x Wibramino).
Al Sharbatly also won Saturday's first CSIO4*-W class, a 1.40m Prix ANCFCC. This time riding the 13-year-old Beau Limit (No Limit x Hors La Loi II), Al Sharbatly clocked the winning time of 53.20 seconds. El Ghali Boukaa (MAR) on Cool Running (Clooney x Carpaccio) took the second spot, while Thierry Coffinet (BEL) on Cadet de Ruisseau Z (Chellano Z x Carthago Z) placed third. Samantha McIntosh (NZL) on James S (Verdi x Concorde) took the fourth place and Adrzej Oplatek (POL) on Odile du Soufflet (Ogano Sitte x Landjuweel St. Hubert) placed fifth.
CSIO4*-W Rabat, the second stop of the Moroccon Royal Tour, ends on Sunday with the Nations Cup, where two remaining team slots for Tokyo 2020 in Group F will be decided.
