André Thieme (GER) and the 10-year-old Conacco (Conoglio x Chacco-Blue) won Thursday's biggest class in St. Gallen – the CSIO5* 1.50m Prize Herzog Küchen & Suttero counting for the world ranking.
Thieme was the fastest of the six riders in the jump-off, with a clear round in 38.02 seconds. Pia Reich (GER) and PB Chaconie (Chacco-Blue x Kannan) followed in second place with a time of 38.49, while Harry Charles (GBR) with Valkiry de Zance (Diamant de Semilly x Double Espoir) ended third after stopping the clock at 38.51. Fourth went to Paul O'Shea (IRL) with Squirt Gun (Diarado x Quick Star), with a time of 39.63 seconds, while Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Forever (For Pleasure x Nimmerdor) had to settle for fifth place after four faults in a quick time of 37.59 seconds.
Earlier in the day, in the Prize of Eggel und Partner Baumanagement – a 1.45m two-phase class – Janika Sprunger (SUI) took the top honours with the 9-year-old Carlotta (Cornet Obolensky x Arpeggio). Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) and Texas (Tornesh x Robin Z) finished second, followed by Elin Ott (SUI) with Nanu (New Time x Corofino 2) in third.
