Due to the coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak, CSIO St.Gallen has been cancelled. The event was scheduled for May 21-24 2020, and was the host of one of the legs in the Longines FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 1. The 25th edition of CSIO St. Gallen will now take place on June 3-6, 2021.

"During the last weeks it has become apparent that we will not be able to hold our event from 21 to 24 May 2020 as planned. However, as we are part of the Longines FEI Nations Cup series, we did not want to cancel our event without having conclusively examined all the alternatives, which also resulted from the cancellation of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo," said Nayla Stössel, President of CSIO St.Gallen.

The cancellation means that the Longines FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 1 is down to four legs, as the organisers of Longines Jumping International de La Baule and CHIO Rotterdam also have pulled their traditional events out of the calendar due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The FEI has already informed that the Jumping Committee will be looking at the Longines FEI Nations Cup as a whole, following the cancellation of the first two legs in Europe Division 1. The FEI is also working closely with the European Equestrian Federation (EEF) on the EEF series.
