Thursday's CSIO5* 1.50m presented by Trikem – the first qualifier for the Falsterbo Grand Prix – at the 2024-edition of Falsterbo Horse Show in Sweden, went to Ireland's Darragh Kenny and the 13-year-old Chic Chic (Comme Il Faut 5 x Contendro I).
Stopping the clock on 69.59 seconds, the Irish rider took the win in Thursday's main competition at the traditional Swedish venue ahead of his compatriot Cian O'Connor with Eve d'Ouilly (Qlassic Bois Margot x Poor Boy) in second in 69.81. Switzerland's Martin Fuchs and Bastille (Balou du Rouet x Chacco-Blue) placed third after clocking a time of 69.99 seconds.
Belgium’s Abdel Said and Arpege du Ru (Apache d'Adriers x Quat'Sous) finished fourth in 72.25 seconds, followed by the host nation’s own Antonia Andersson in fifth aboard Bella PS (Messenger x Contendros 2) with a time of 73.89.
