Dutch best in Europe Division 1, while Great Britain, Belgium and Czech are relegated

The Dutch team tops the overall standing of the 2016 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 1 series following Friday's final leg at Hickstead. With 330 points, the Dutch were followed by the Irish on 323.33 points and Germany on 313.33 points. 

For the 2017 season, eight teams qualify for Division 1. The seven best ranked teams on the final overall Division 1 standings for 2016 are qualified, which means Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, France and Italy are in for next year while Great Britain, Belgium and Czech Republic that are ranked 8th, 9th and 10th are relegated to Division 2 for 2017. 

The best ranked Division 2 team at the 2016 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Final will be promoted to Division 1 for 2017.
