Gerfried Puck from Austria won Saturday's Grand Prix qualifier in Budapest, riding the 9 year old Bionda 3 (Phin Phin x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve). He ended the jump-off in 44,87 seconds - almost a second faster than compatriot Max Kühner with Cielito Lindo 2 (Clarimo). Then it was a big gap down to third placed Paolo Paini with Ottava Meraviglia di Ca'San G (For Pleasure x Caletto I) who crossed the finish line in 47,88 seconds.
Two other riders were double clear and it was Denmark's Torben Frandsen with Cybertop (Carpaccio x Kilian) who ended fourth and Balazs Horvath with PM Jumping Lady (Jaguar Mail x Everest) who ended fifth.
