Gregory Wathelet and Double Jeu d’Honvault claim the CSIO5* 1.50m Queen's Cup in Barcelona

Belgium’s Gregory Wathelet and the 12-year-old Double Jeu d’Honvault (Kannan x Cook du Midour) won Saturday’s CSIO5* 1.50m Queen’s Cup – Freixenet Trophy Generalitat de Catalunya Award in Barcelona, Spain.

Crossing the finish-line in 45.91 seconds in the winning round, Wathelet took the win ahead of Germany’s Sophie Hinners and Iron Dames Kaleni Jo (Kannan x Indoctro) in second in 48.25, while Italy’s Giulia Martinengo Marquet and Coynor (Canstakko x Toulon) placed third in 49.06.

The host nation’s Carlos Bosch and O’Balou van de Plataan Kar (Balou du Rouet x Quincerot van T&L) finished fourth in 54.79, followed by Christian Kukuk (GER) and Cepano Baloubet (Chaman x Stakkato’s Highlight) in fifth with four penalties in 46.48.
