Egypt's Nayel Nassar won Sunday's $129 500 Nations Week Finale Grand Prix at CSIO4* Langley. Riding the 12-year-old stallion Lordan (Lordanos x Landor), Nassar went out on top after producing the fastest of only two double clear rounds in the 1.60 competition.
Only five riders moved on to the jump-off after riding clear in the first round, but against the clock Nassar was in a league of his own being almost two seconds faster than runner up Alberto Michan from Mexico on the 10-year-old gelding Gigolo van de Broekkant (Heartbreaker x Concorde). Third and fourth place went to two home riders: Brian Morton on Atlantis T (Padinus x Guidam) and Amy Millar on Heros (Canadian River x Clinton), both with four faults in the jump-off. Ireland's Conor Swail and Grafton (Calvaro x Vondeen) finished fifth with eight faults against the clock.
