Riding Odina Van Klapscheut (I Am Moerhoeve’s Star x Landor S), Andersson delivered a smooth and quick round in a time of 57.79 – pushing O’Connor and Germaine W (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Armstrong) down to the runner-up spot when being 0.35 seconds faster than the Irish rider.

Much to the delight of the home crowds, Roger Yves Bost finished third with Ballerine du Vilpion (Baloubet du Rouet x Quidam de Revel) – a second behind Andersson, followed by Belgium’s Gregory Wathelet and Berline du Maillet Z (Berlin x Action-Breaker) in fourth and Great Britain’s Joe Stockdale in fifth aboard Equine Rescue Services Kandelford (Kannan x Pythagoras).
