Netherland's Chef d'Equipe Rob Ehrens started the press conference by saying: "The riders did a marvelous job and the horses were really top fit to compete. It was a nice course and it was nicely built, fair but still difficult enough. I must say my riders did a really good job, and that made in fact that Gerco Schröder had an easy day today. I must say that I'm a really happy coach. The whole atmosphere here in Falsterbo is just amazing with the crowds. It is a brilliant place to win!"
Leopold van Asten, who was the third rider on the team said this: "Harrie and Maikel were both double clear and knowing that Gerco was coming after me took a little bit of pressure away. My horse was jumping two rounds really good. The second round even better than the first one, so I'm very pleased with today."
Harrie Smolders was first to go: "I think we were all very focused on Falsterbo because we needed a good result. We have struggled a little bit as a team this year. And I think it was a mission accomplished today."
The second team rider Maikel van der Vleuten said this about the horses: "I think for a Nations Cup it is very important that you bring horses to the start that are in good shape and that are consistent. It is very important that we as riders try to achieve, but in the end we need a very good horse especially at this level and as Harrie said we came here to make a very good result - we tried to bring the best horses and riders at this moment to this Nations Cup and it went very well."
Gerco Schröder didn't even have to enter the ring today: "I have to say that my team mates did a really good job today and it is a different feeling not to have to ride - not even one round. But I'm very happy with how they did and my horse was still very fit on the prize giving!"
