It was double Swiss on top in Thursday's 1.50m Prize Coca-Cola at CSIO5* Samorin as the Nations Cup event got underway at the x-bionic® sphere, with Steve Guerdat finishing first and Paul Estermann second.

Over two seconds separated the two Swiss riders on top, with Guerdat riding the 12-year-old gelding Corbinian (Coronet Obolensky x Pilot) to victory with his time of 76.39 in this speed class counting for the Longines Ranking. "I am very happy, its always good to win the big class," said Guerdat after collecting the top honours.

In 78.62 seconds followed Estermann, aboard the 10-year-old Curtis Sitte (Ugano Sitte x Chellano Z). Germany's Laura Klaphake and Camalita (Cracker Jack 5 x Quinar) finished third in 79.39 seconds, while Spain's Manuel Fernandez Saro ended fourth on Cuidam (Verdi x Chellano) and Swiss rider Werner Muff fifth on Cornet MM (Cornet Obolensky x Gralshueter).

"It is super here, very nice facilities and great services. I'm looking forward to the weekend, full of great sport and fantastic moments," concluded Guerdat about being at the x-bionic® sphere.
