This week, Austria is the destination for riders in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 2. It is Linz that hosts the first qualifier in the division 2, where thirteen teams will line up to compete and ten of them are eligible for points in the series. The countries that will field teams are:
- Australia
- Austria (Europe Div.2)
- Hungary (Europe Div.2)
- Japan
- Lithuania
- Luxembourg (Europe Div.2)
- Norway (Europe Div.2)
- Poland (Europe Div.2)
- Portugal (Europe Div.2)
- Russia (Europe Div.2)
- Slovakia (Europe Div.2)
- Spain (Europe Div.2)
- Ukraine (Europe Div.2)
The rules for the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 2 have changed for this season, and national federations do no longer select or declare the events at which they intend to participate for points - which means that there is no longer an allocation system in regards to picking up points.
Instead, teams earn points at any and every event in Europe Division 2 – but can only count their four best results for the overall standings. Points will be distributed at each Division 2 event according to each team’s classification in the competition, not their classification in relation to other teams from the same region.
