Paul Estermann made sure the Swiss crowds at St. Gallen got not only one, but two, home wins on Saturday. First Estermann won the 1.50 MS Direct Group AG Prize riding Castlefield Eclipse (Obos Quality x Furisto), and later in the afternoon he took the 1.45 Grosses Jagdspringen des Longines CSIO Schweiz riding Bareina (Valentino Ddh x Clinton).
In the 1.50 class, Estermann was more than a second faster in the jump-off than runner-up Pieter Devos from Belgium with Equipharma Dax van d'Abdijhoeve (Desir du Chateau).
Three more riders were double clear in the competition, ending 3rd, 4th and 5th: Brazil's Yuri Mansur Guerios with Quartz de la Lande (Jenny de la Cense x Timorrak des Isles *HN), Switzerland's Romain Duguet with Twentytwo des Biches (Mylord Carthago *HN x Kalor du Bocage) and Werner Muff with Pollendr (Polytraum x Corrado).
In the 1.45 class it was French rider Adeline Hécart with Questoin d'Orval (Rosire x Tu Viens Dorval) that took the runner-up position ahead of Ireland's Greg Broderick with Zuidam (Guidam x Indoctro) and Swiss rider Jane Richard Phlips with Zekina Z (Zandor Z x Carthago Z).
