Denmark's Zascha Nygaard Lill and the 9-year-old gelding Stanley (Stakkato x Calido I) went to the top in Sunday's CSIO4* 1.60m Grand Prix in Sopot, Prize of the Mayor of City of Sopot under the patronage of Wirtualna Polska.
Only three of the fifty horse-and-rider combinations in the class managed to deliver double clear rounds, and in the second round against the clock it was Nygaard Lill who was the fastest aboard Stanley when crossing the finish line in 44.56 seconds. With a time of 49.27 seconds, Argentina's Damian Ancic and Santa Rosa Cabachon (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) finished second, followed by Poland's Tomasz Miskiewicz and Velvet Lazar (Verdi TN x Numero Uno) in third in 50.25 seconds.
With four faults in round one, and a clear in the second, Great Britain's Mark Edwards finished fourth aboard Royale Tale (Montreux Tale x breeding unknown), while Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Khaled Almobth completed the top five riding Diana du Plevau Z (Dieu Merci Van T&L x Kashmir Van'tt Schuttershof), also he on a score of four in the first round and a clear in the second.
