All the jumping horses have passed the Olympic veterinary inspection ahead of Tuesday’s individual qualifier in Tokyo. A total of 93 jumping horses lined up for their first Olympic veterinary inspection at the Equestrian Park in Baji Koen, Tokyo, yesterday, with two having to go to the holding box – Matias Albarrachin’s 17-year-old gelding Cannavaro 9 for Argentina and You Zhang’s 12-year-old gelding Caesar for China. After a re-inspection this afternoon, both horses passed and are ready to compete.
75 horse-and-rider combinations will be competing in Tuesday’s individual qualifier, which leads to Wednesday’s individual final where the 30 best will participate.
