Daniel Deusser delivered the third and final double clear of the competition on the giant First Class van Eeckelghem. The German rider won the final in 2013, but this time he had to settle for third as he was almost two seconds behind Farrington against the clock. Photo (c) Dirk Caremans/www.hippofoto.be.
Bertram Allen is only 20-years-old, and did his first Top 10 Final last night. That did not face the young Irish rider though, who on Molly Malone V went clear in the first round. As always, Allen went for it against the clock but unfortunately a pole fell half way and the pair had to settle for 7th in the end. Photo (c) Dirk Caremans/www.hippofoto.be.
Gregory Wathelet had chosen to ride Algorhythem in the final. The 10-year-old gelding jumped a fantastic first clear, but in the second round two poles fell - something that for sure can be put on the lack-off-experience-account as the horse is quite new to this level of the sport.
