The final day of the 2024-edition of The Dutch Masters in 's-Hertogenbosch started with a shared victory in the CSI5* 1.45m Borek Prize for the host nation's own Frank Schuttert on Panama van'T Roosakker (Echo van'T Spieveld x Kashmir van Schuttershof) and Belgium's Pieter Clemens aboard Big Beauty Z (Big Star JR KZ x Padinus).
Stopping the clock on 50.91 seconds, the two shared the win ahead of another Dutch rider; Kevin Jochems and Looks Good de Liebri Z (Lector van den Bisschop x Bentley van de Heffinck) in third in 51.82.
"To be honest, if there is one rider I would be happy to share a win with, it is Frank," Pieter Clemens told WoSJ afterwards. "We've worked together for a long time and it's nice to have this win with him, I'm happy. My horse was awesome, she was really trying and did everything she could. She has a lot of quality, she has a super brain and she's very competitive. I think she's a horse for the future, one that will jump the big classes – I'm excited for the future with her."
"Pieter is one of my best friends, so this was actually fun," Frank Schuttert filled in. "It is funny that we shared the first place with two completely different types of horses. His horse has a bit of a quicker, smaller stride than mine and I think our rounds were actually completely different, even though we ended up with the same time. This was a nice start for this Sunday!"
Germany's Daniel Deusser and Bingo Ste Hermelle (Number One d'Iso x Diamant de Semilly) finished fourth in 52.24, followed by Kim Emmen and Macho V (Falco x Quidam de Revel) in fifth.
