On April 1st, the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Sports Federation (FRMSE) announced the appointment of Philippe Rozier as coach and selector of the Moroccan national showjumping team.
“Having previously led the national team between 2012 and 2016, Mr. Rozier notably guided the team to the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, marking a pivotal step in the development of Moroccan show jumping on the international stage,” FRMSE detailed in a press release. “With his recognized experience at the highest level and in-depth knowledge of the demands of elite sport, Mr. Rozier's mission will be to continue the momentum of structuring and improving the performance of the national team, with the ambition of sustainably strengthening its competitiveness on the international circuit, in anticipation of short-, medium-, and long-term events.”
In a press release, FRMSE pointed out that Thierry Klein will continue in his role as assistant coach alongside Rozier.
“The goal is clear: to build a strong and ambitious team, capable of performing at the highest level, at World Championships, Mediterranean Games, with a focus on the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics,” Rozier shared on social media regarding his appointment. “At the same time, my commitment alongside the Monégasque federation, which has been going on for 6 years now, will continue until the European Children, Junior and Young Riders Championships this summer in Germany, in order to prepare for this period in the best conditions.”
