"I'm just so happy with this win,” Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann said after winning Saturday’s CSI5* 1.55m Prix Saur at the 2026-edition of Le Printemps des Sports Équestres in Fontainebleau, France, with Glamour Girl (VDL Zirocco Blue x Caletto I).
“The wins that make us happiest are often the ones we don't see coming,” von Eckermann continued in a press release from Le Printemps des Sports Équestres. “It's been a wonderful day for Janika and me. It's not often that we both win on the same day. In fact, I don't think it's ever happened before. I'd also like to thank Sylvie Robert for this competition, and for all the others she organises. She does everything so well, especially for horses. Of course, it's wonderful for the fans and spectators, but for us, the most important thing is the well-being of our horses. And here, everything is done with that in mind. We are really grateful to have someone so committed to our sport."
With a time of 67.94 seconds, von Eckermann and Glamour Girl took the win ahead of Belgium’s Pieter Devos and Jarina J (Cicero x Harley) in second in 68.74, while Jérôme Guery (BEL) on Gigolo di Villagana (Ballantine di Villagana x Corrado I) completed the podium in third in 69.53. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) with I Know (Arezzo VDL x Hors la Loi II) finished fourth in 69.65, followed by Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Folie (Luidam x Diamant de Semilly) in fifth in 70.18.
