With a selection committee who offers experience money can’t buy – including VDL Stud, Jan Broek and Egbert Schep – De Wolden Summer Sale has proven itself a force to be reckoned with. Many years of auctions has also produced many years of successful references! The latest and most recognisable is Victor Bettendorf’s Qwando van de Rispen. This horse was well produced in the Netherlands and since moving to the rider from Luxembourg, has managed to add the 5* Grand prix from Windsor to his name.

The 2026 auction will take place during the second week of CSI De Wolden on Saturday 25th July. The foals will be presented at around 5.30pm and the auction will start after the last class at around 7.30pm. To name some of the foals included, we present:
Wise Guy T, a colt by Ben Maher’s machine Faltic HB and an Indoctro dam, the damline is that of Arezzo VDL!
Whizztone, a colt by Baltic and Corland (exactly the same combination as Leone Jei) from a damline with proven jumpers.
Whats Next, a colt by 5* winner and brother to Cardento, Cartello VDL out of an Indoctro dam who already produced a 1.45m jumper.
Wildrose van de Vijfhoeve is a filly by two great sires, Baltic and Balou du Reventon, whose granddam competed at 1.45m level and has already produced a 1.50m horse.
Wuzella is by the relentless producer Arezzo and a dam by the Horsetelex named number 1 sire Etoulon. The damline of dam Lady Uzella V.G. has produced multiple GP horses, for example Dubai and Island VG.
