Dermott Lennon and Vampire (Andiamo x Fruhling) won the qualification for the Falsterbo Derby that will take place on Saturday. 29 riders competed in the class, but as a maximum of 28 can jump in the derby most of them qualified.

Another Irish rider was slightly behind Lennon; Cian O'Connor riding the 10 year old Quidam's Cherie (Quidam's Rubin x Lifestyle). Great Britain's Michael Whitaker with Valentin R (Heartbreaker x Indorado) ended third - more than 1,5 seconds slower than O'Connor. Then it was a big gap in time down to fourth placed Janne Friederike Meyer with Cellagon Anna (Asca x Contendro) and fifth placed Charotte Mordasini with Tiny Toon Semilly (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan).

Surprisingly many horses spooked on the different derby fences, so it will be probably be a derby class with a lot of action tomorrow.
