In a comeback on the British team that has been longed for by many, Nick Skelton and Big Star (Quick Star x Nimmerdor) jumped a double clear round today in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in La Baule.

This was Skelton and the 13-year-old stallion's first appearance on the British team since 2013 when they were seen during the Nations Cup in Dublin.

Big Star has been troubled by injuries since the autumn of 2013. The stallion made a comeback in 2014, but was again forced to take a break following the 2014 Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Estoril. Since the autumn of 2015, Skelton has slowly build Big Star up again and could today proudly be the pathfinder on the British team with two clear rounds sending a strong application to be considered as a candidate for the Olympic Games in Rio.
