2012 Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat is about to set up his own business after buying stables in the district of Winterthur, in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland.

After ten years, the Swiss rider will leave his long-time base in Rütihof, Herrliberg near Zurich, to fulfil a long-cherished dream of starting his own business. Guerdat is the new owner and manager of the famous equestrian center of Elgg, formerly a property belonging to Monika and Paul Weier.

On his website, Steve thanks owner Urs E. Schwarzenbach, the manager Werner Oberholzer and the entire staff in Rütihof for the great help and continuous support during all the years he has spend there.
