No one is safe when Harold Boisset and the tiny speed machine Quolita Z (Quasimodo Z x Ramiro) make it to a jump-off, and Sunday's CSI3* Grand Prix presented by Audi in Lisbon was no exception.
The French super-duo was one of only two pairs that managed to bring out a double clear over the 1.60m track, and beat runner-up Filippo Codecasa (ITA) on Go High della Bassanella (Go on Top x Laptop) with no less than 2.24 seconds.
Nine riders produced clears in the first round, and where joined by another five on four faults for the second round against the clock. There, Olivier Robert (FRA) and Eros (Querlybet Hero x Forever) – who had four faults in round one – were the fastest of all, but had a rail down again and had to settle in for the third place. Victor Bettendorf (LUX) on Sorbier Blanc (Jericho Pierreville x Voltaire) finished fourth and Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) on Carlow van de Helle (Caretino x Corofino I) fifth, also with four faults each against the clock.
