Swiss rider Werner Muff secured a home win in Thursday's biggest class at CSIO5* St. Gallen, piloting the 10-year-old Cosby (Contendro I x Landadel) to victory in the 1.50m Prize Metzgerei Gemperli.

Sixteen horse-and-rider combinations made it in the jump-off, among them seven Swiss. Behind Muff, who stopped the clocks on 42.72 seconds, followed Luciana Diniz (POR) with Isabeau (Winningmood Van De Arenberg x Gershwin) and Janne-Frriederike Meyer Zimmermann (GER) with Soccero (Singulord Joter x Casall) as second and third with times of 44.13 and 44.49 respectively.

Denis Lynch (IRL) and All Star 5 (Argentinus x Alme) ended fourth, and Romain Duguet (SUI) on Calder (Casall x Coriano) fifth.

Earlier in the day, France's Nicolas Delmotte won the opening 1.45m class on Darmani van't Heike (Grandeur x Voltaire).
