Saturday's 1.50m Van Mossel Prize at CSI4* Jumping Indoor Maastricht finished with a popular home win for Dutch rider Willem Greve.
Aboard the 11-year-old mare Zypria S (Canturo x Lux Z), Greve snatched the win from Belgium's Jerome Guery and Kel'Star du Vingt Ponts (Kannan x Landor S) in a six-horse jump-off in this Grand Prix qualifier. A second separated the two riders in the jump-off, with Greve bringing the crowds to the edge of their seats as he brought home the win for the hosts.
Two Dutch riders followed in third and fourth: Kim Emmen on Delvaux (Chacco Blue x Lancer II) – who had the last double clear of the class – and Jur Vrieling on Dallas VDL (Douglas x Heartbreaker) that finished on four faults in the jump-off. USA's Wilton Porter also had to see a pole fall against the clock, to finish fifth.
