Philipp Weishaupt (GER) won Saturday's CSI3* Sharjah Grand Prix presented by Longines. Riding the 12-year-old mare Catokia 2 (Catoki x Coriall), Weishaupt delivered one of only two double clears in this 1.50m Grand Prix to beat runner-up Abdel Said (EGY) on Arpege du Ryu (Apache d'Adriers x Quat'Sous) by 5.72 seconds in round two. 

The third place went to Abdullah Al Sharbatly (KSA) on Woulon L (Toulon G. Ramiro Z) after recording a time fault in each round. Janika Sprunger (SUI) and Fancy Me (Forsyth FRH x Gimpel) finished fourth, and Mohammed Ghanem Al Hajri (UAE) on Doklahoma VDL (Baloubet du Rouet x Emilion) fifth.
