In the last week leading up to the Longines FEI World Cup Final, WoSJ catch up with some of the world’s best riders as they head for Gothenburg. Gudrun Patteet (BEL), finalist debutant, fills us in.

Which horse will you be riding in the final?

“I will bring Sea Coast Pebbles for the final. Pebbles had a break after Basel, and then did a training show and  's-Hertogenbosch to get back in the rhythm. He will jump one more national 1.40m class this week before the final.”

Who do you think will win?

“My guess for the title is Henrik von Eckerman, Daniel Deusser and Steve Guerdat.”

How special is it to compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Final?

“I have never been in Gothenburg before, but I have heard only nice things about the show. It was my goal to get into the finals, so everything that comes next is just an extra. I’m looking forward to it!”
