The second half of the 2019 Spruce Meadows Summer Series began this week with the 'Pan American' CSI5*, presented by Rolex. Over 360 horses participated in the FEI Veterinary Inspection earlier in the week to be eligible for FEI competitions.

Ninety-five horse-and-rider combinations eagerly started the 1.50m Friends of the Meadows Cup at Meadows on the Green. It would be another win for the Irish as Dermott Lennon, aboard MJM Pursuit (Aldato x Limmerick), laid down the fastest clear round in a time of 53.84s. Irish teammate Conor Swail would do his best to catch Lennon, but would settle for second place with a clear round and a time of 56.74s with GK Coco Chanel (Clarimo x Lerano).
