Fresh from their victory in Friday's Eurostars Trophy, Guy Williams and Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) took the top honours in Sunday's CSI4* Grand Prix CaixaBank at A Coruña. Williams is the first British rider to register his name on the Casas Novas list of winners, and could take home 33,000 Euros for his win.
Williams and Rouge de Ravel were the last pair into the ring. While it seemed impossible for anyone to produce a better time than the leading 44.05 seconds, a target set by Alexandra Paillot (FRA) aboard Polias de Blondel (Desir du Chateau x Souviens Toi III), Williams stayed true to his key principle ‘you must be willing to win every time’ and sealed the deal in 43.35 seconds.
Julien Epaillard (FRA) on Alibi de La Roque (Mylord Carthago HN x Kannan) ended third with his time of 44.60 seconds, and Marlon Modolo (BRA) on J-Figyelem (Vingino x Animo) fourth with a time of 44.64 seconds. Aldrick Cheronnet finished fifth aboard Tanael Des Bonnes (Watch Me*Hoy x Don Pierre).
