On the second day of CSIO Barcelona, Holly Smith and Denver (Memphis x Chico's Boy) won the 1.45m La Vanguardia Trophy, the first competition of the day. The British rider took the lead being faster by five hundredths second than second placed Mathieu Billot on Lord de Muze (Nabab de Reve x For Pleasure), Thursday’s winner of the Negrita Cup. In third place came the Colombian rider Nicolás Torro riding Desperado (Cardento x Lord Z).
