Friday's highlight at the Diriyah Equestrian Festival in Riyadh (KSA) was the CSI5*-W Longines FEI World Cup. Just like last week, the class saw a German rider on top, only this time it was Christian Kukuk (GER) on the 8-year-old stallion Mumbai (Diamant de Semilly x Nabab de Reve) taking the win. With a double clear round in the time of 40.45 seconds, Kukuk took the first five-star World Cup victory of his career.

"I am so happy today and very proud of my horse Mumbai," Kukuk commented to World of Showjumping. "Mumbai is only 8-years-old and this was his first five-star Grand Prix, but he gave me a feeling as if he had already done it a 100 times! This was a super finish for 2020 and I am really looking forward to 2021 with him."

Daniel Deusser (GER) and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Tangelo v Zuuthoeve x Mr. Blue), last weekend's winning pair, had to settle for the runner-up position with a time of 41.42 seconds while Jos Verlooy (BEL) on Varoune (Verdi TN x Cardalme) placed third. Kukuk's boss Ludger Beerbaum (GER) on Mila (Monte Bellini x Linton) took the fourth place, while Julien Epaillard (FRA) – who has been on a winning streak in Riyadh – took the fifth spot after having one down in a time of 40.77 seconds with Alibi de la Roque (Mylord Carthago x Kannan).
