Julien Epaillard (FRA) finished first and second again in Thursday’s CSI5*-W 1.50m presented by SAEF in Riyadh. Just like last week, Epaillard took the top honours with Alibi de la Roque (Mylord Carthago x Kannan) after stopping the clock at 58.81 seconds, and the runner-up position with Queeletta (Quality 9 x Landor S) with a time of 59.88 seconds. The podium was all-French, with Kevin Staut (FRA) on Tolede de Mescam Harcour (Mylord Carthago x Kouglof II) taking third with a time of 60.34 seconds.
A total of 44-horse-and-rider combinations took part in the 1.50m against the clock, and fourth fastest was Daniel Deusser (GER) on Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Tangelo v. Zuuthoeve x Mr Blue) in 62.03 seconds. Fifth place went to Chad Fellows (GBR) on Eindhoven G.H. (Vaillant x Sheraton) after the pair stopped the clock at 62.73 seconds.
