Kevin Jochems and the 12-year-old Zangersheide stallion Turbo Z (Thunder Vd Zuuthoeve x Renville) have parted ways, the Dutch rider announced on his official Instagram page on Tuesday, writing: "Incredible Turbo. This amazing horse is sold and left my stables, and I have to say it’s a very hard goodbye. We had a special connection and with it achieved many great results together. I’d like to say thank you to the owner who always believed in me, to Jan Vink who always supported me and the partnership we grew. And to everybody else who was involved in this great journey. But most of all thank you Turbo. I’m sure you will make me proud with your new rider and I wish you both all the happiness for the future."

In October, Jochems and Turbo Z won the CSI5*-W Longines FEI World Cup in Oslo, and placed 7th in the CSI5*-W Longines FEI World Cup in Lyon. This summer, the pair finished fifth in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Valkenswaard, fourth in the CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix of St. Gallen and fourth in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Valkenswaard.

Before Jochems took over the reins at the beginning of 2020, his compatriot Michael Greeve had success with the stallion – competing him up to five-star Grand Prix and Nations Cup level.
