With a time of 37.20 in the second phase, the Brazilian was the quickest of the 69 participants in the two-phase special class, counting for the Longines Ranking (Group D). Guy Williams (GBR) on Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van ter Moude x Quoulof Rouge) took the runner-up position after the clock stopped on 38.19, while Susan Fitzpatrick (IRL) on Keatingstown Skorphults Joker (Conthargos x Chacco-Blue) placed third, Thibeau Spits (BEL) on Juragold Bormes (Contact van de Heffinck x Landino) fourth and Brian Moggre (USA) on Gelano (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Celano) fifth.
