Gudrun Patteet (BEL) and Sea Coast Donna Z won Thursday's CSI4* 1.45m DVAG Trophy at Hof Waterkant in Pinneberg, Germany. The DVAG Trophy was the first qualification for the Grand Prix, and had 61 horse-and-rider combinations at start. With a time of 61.46 seconds, Patteet took home the win ahead of Philip Rüping (GER) and Miss Chacco PS (Messenger x Chacco-Blue), who had to settle for the runner-up position when the clock stopped on 61.76.
"It's my first time here and I'm really excited about the event and the many friendly people," 37-year-old Patteet said in a press release from CSI4* Hof Waterkant. “I've been riding Donna for a year and she did great today. Last weekend she won a 1.45m class in Valkenswaard and I'm very proud of her."
Katrin Eckermann and Cascadello-Boy RM (Cascadello I x Balou du Rouet) took the third place, while Andreas Schou (DEN) placed fourth on Granate (Baltic VDL x Indoctro) and Richard Vogel (GER) fifth on Codex 28 (Contendros x Espri).
