Since he teamed up with Simon Delestre, Chesall Zimequest has been recording one big win after the other. Delestre purchased the now 12-year old Holsteiner gelding by Casall x Concerto 4 from Dietmar Gugler at the end of 2014, and since then the two have been one of the power-pairs on the international showjumping scene.
“Chesall gets very attached to his people and he is a very, very sensitive horse. He has won so many classes, it is difficult to name the biggest victory with him! But I think when he was ranked number one horse in the world, that was something special,” his rider Simon Delestre tells about his win-machine.
“His best quality is his carefulness, he is as careful as it gets. Sometimes he even prefers to stop than touch a fence, that is how careful he is. He is for sure a part of the string of my top horses. However, I think he is not the championship type; he is so delicate and careful, and very cautious if anything special would happen. But he can win any class in the world!" Delestre tells.
And with that we let the lens zoom in on Chesall.
