Earlier this month, Haras des Coudrettes announced that Patrice Delaveau’s Carinjo HDC (Cascavelle x Landgraf) was to be retired from the sport – at the age of 16.
The Holsteiner stallion had a hugely successful career, with five-star victories from Stuttgart, Chantilly, Gijon, Barcelona, Doha, St. Tropez, Los Angeles, La Baule, Brussels, Oslo and Paris during his time with Delaveau. Before Carinjo joined Haras des Coudrettes, German rider Thomas Voss performed great with him and the pair was second in the prestigious Grand Prix of Aachen back in 2012.
And with this we look back at Carinjo's career, wishing him a happy retirement.
