At the age of 18, Ludger Beerbaum’s Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) was retired from the sport this weekend after a long and successful career. The retirement ceremony took place at Ludger’s own stables, during the Riesenbeck International Indoors. 

Since they formed their partnership back in 2010, Beerbaum and Chaman have taken countless of major victories together: Aachen, San Patrignano, Wiesbaden. Dortmund, Valkenswaard, Münster, Rio, Basel, Zürich, Paris, Gothenburg, Lyon, Lausanne and Stuttgart are among some of the places where the two were unbeatable over the years. 

We look back at some of the highlights from their time together, as the curtains close for one of the sport's most successful couples.
