The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2023/2024 Western European League kicks off at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway, this weekend and the action at Agria Oslo Horse 2023 got underway on Friday with the first CSI5*-W classes.
Great Britain's Olympic Champion Ben Maher and the 14-year-old Exit Remo (San Remo x Ferro, bred by Ven and owned by Ben Maher, Charlotte Rossetter and Pamela Wright) opened the weekend in the Norwegian capital with a win in Friday's CSI5*-W 1.50m presented by Gjelsten Holding. With a time of 64.79, Maher and Exit Remo took the win ahead of Switzerland's Alain Jufer and Dante MM (Diarado x Luxius, bred by Volker Ruehne and owned by Marlis Mühlebach) in second in 66.03.
Italy's Lorenzo de Luca and Denver de Talma (Vigo Cece x Canturo bred by Michel Guiot and owned by Louisburg Farm) placed third in 67.08, while Belgium's Rik Hemeryck and Morfine de Muze (Nabab de Reve x Tinka's Boy, bred by Joris De Brabander and owned by Thierry Ravel) finished fourth in 69.06, followed by Norway's Benedikte Serigstad Endresen and Quick Nick (Quick Star x San Patrignano Corrado, owned by Stall Bergan AS) in fifth in 71.50.
