Danielle Goldstein (ISR) won Thursday's 1.45m Large Round competition at CSI4*-W Poznan, the first qualifying class for Sunday's Gran Prix. Riding her number one horse Lizziemary (Cabri d'Elle x Acord II), she completed the course flawlessly finishing in the best time of 28.10 in phase two.
“It was an excellent ride today. Lizziemary is my fastest horse and as usual she did her best. This was a well-prepared course and I am glad that we managed to win this competition,” said Danielle Goldstein, who is identifiable by colorful feathers weaved into her hair. “I change the color regularly. I like to stand out, I like to show that I want to be an individualist. I have only recently got my current color, I did it just before CAVALIADA,” said the representative of Israel, who is currently ranked 51st in the FEI ranking.
Andrea Colombo, the Italian course designer, perfectly adjusted the difficulty for the first of the major competitions. The spectators saw 15 clear rides and these qualified for Sunday's Grand Prix. Unfortunately, there were no Poles amongst them, but Wojciech Wojcianiec, Maksymilian Wechta and Jarosław Skrzyczyński are certain to take part in the main competition on Sunday.
