Simon Delestre (FRA) and Sultan du Chateau (Kannan x Galoubet) won Wednesday's main class at CSI5*-W Mechelen.

The 1.50m Table A competition with a jump-off sponsored by KBC Bank & Verzekering had 42 starters in. The home crowd was very pleased with the strong performances of the Belgian riders; from the total of 12 riders in the jump-off six represented the host country. The jump-off turned out to be tricky though - only the top three managed to stay clear. Delestre clocked the winning time of 31,71 seconds, forcing Jerome Guery on Papillon Z (Perhaps v. Berkenbroeck x San Patrignano Cassini) to settle for second place with his time of 31,99 seconds. Harrie Smolders (NED) on Don VHP Z (Diamant de Semilly x Voltaire) came third with a clear round in the jump-off and the time 34,59 seconds.

Wednesday morning started with the Dutch on top: Harrie Smolders (NED) on Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan) won the first CSI5* class of the day, a 1.40m Table A against the clock. Their winning time was 50,49 seconds. Second place went to Jos Verlooy (BEL) on Farfelu de la Pomme (Vigo D'Arsouilles x Darco) with a time of 50,98 seconds. Verlooy also took the third place on Napa Valley (Intender x Pit I), stopping the clocks at 51,40 seconds.

The Flandria Rent Six Bar had a shared win between Karel Cox (BEL) on Tchao de la Roque (Fergar Mail x Kannan) and Max Kühner (AUT) on Coeur de Lion 14 (Coriano x Cassini I), both going through five rounds.
