On Saturday, Ireland’s Denis Lynch and the 11-year-old mare Katja (Etoulon x Otangelo) took their second win of the weekend in Helsinki, Finland, topping the CSI5*-W 1.45m presented by Turkish Airlines at the 2026-edition of Helsinki International Horse Show.
Stopping the clock on 55.26, Lynch bested a field of 37 horse-and-rider combinations. “She’s very competitive,” Lynch commented in a press release from Helsinki International Horse Show. “It really suits her to go that pace and she enjoys it, so it went to plan. There are things I’m not in control of, so the only thing I can control, riding well, make sure I ride it the way she needs to be ridden, and then after that what will be will be.”
Italy’s Gianpiero Garofalo and Kadessa Z (Kannan x Harley VDL) took the runner-up spot with a time of 57.62 seconds, followed by Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Kornet Chavannais (Cornet Obolensky x Ksar Sitte) in third in 57.85, Jone Illi (FIN) on Caprivi 23 (Carridam x Embassy I) in fourth in 58.10 and Enrico van Manen (NED) aboard Lehman (Baltic VDL x Numero Uno) in fifth in 58.42.
