Ireland’s Denis Lynch and the 11-year-old mare Katja (Etoulon x Otangelo) won Saturday’s CSI5*-W 1.50m Prize of Agria in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Besting a field of 24 horse-and-rider combinations, Lynch clocked the winning time of 55.16, taking the top honours ahead of Yuri Mansur (BRA) and Mister Jup (Carrera VDL x Silverstone) in second in 56.36, while Sandra Auffarth (GER) and Comcador OLD (Comme Il Faut x Duke of Hearts) placed third with a time of 59.58.
Norway’s Geir Gulliksen and Oh La La van Overis (Otangelo x Udarco van Overis) followed in fourth with a time of 59.82, while John Whitaker (GBR) aboard Sharid (Toulon x Vancouleurs) finished fifth in 60.59.
