No less than 21 horse-and-rider combinations out of 47 cleared Friday's CSI5*-W 1.50m Caser Grupo Helvetia Trophy in Madrid, and fastest of them all were world no. one Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and the 10-year-old mare Dzara Dorchival (Qlassic Bois Margot x Raphael). 

Clocking a time of 58.22 seconds in this 1.50m class against the clock counting for the Longines Ranking Group B, von Eckermann was by far the quickest over Javier Trenor's twelve fence track. Thibault Philippaerts (BEL) and Jumper d'Oase (Cardento x Vigo D Arsouilles Stx) finished second in 60.24, followed by world no. two Ben Maher (GBR) and Enjeu de Grisien (Toulon x Andiamo) in 60.63. Harry Allen (IRL) and Calculatus (Cachassini x Contello) placed fourth in 60.68, while fifth went to Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) and D'Orient Batilly (Numero Uno x Quaprice Boimargot Qunicy) that were best on behalf of the host nation with a time of 61.35. 

Earlier in the day, Julien Epaillard (FRA) and the 12-year-old mare Cancun Torel Z (Cosinhus x Grannus) won the CSI5*W1.45m ¡HOLA! Trophy against the clock counting for the Longines Ranking Group D. With a very fast round in 47.29 seconds, the world no. seven took the win ahead of Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) and Elwikke (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Quick Star) who were two seconds behind the French rider. Francesco Turturiello (ITA) and Quite Balou (Quite Capitol x Baloubet du Rouet) took the third place, with a time of 51.41 seconds.
