Germany's very own Kendra Claricia Brinkop and the 11-year-old Do It Easy (Vigo Cece x Laeken) won Saturday's CSI5*-W €90,000 1.55m Championat of Leipzig – counting for Longines Ranking Group C – at the 2024-edition of Patner Pferd Leipzig.
With a time of 41.13 seconds, Brinkop and Do It Easy were the quickest couple in a jump-off between nine horse-and-rider-combinations.
“A dream has come true," Brinkop said in a press release from Partner Pferde Leipzig. “Do It Easy has a lot of talent, which makes things really easy for me. He is a great horse to ride in jump-offs, and today everything went smoothly from start to finish."
It was tight among the top three as Jana Wargers (GER) and Rockwell RC (Kannan x Guidam) had to settle for the runner-up spot when the clock stopped on 41.27, while Daniel Deusser (GER) and Gangster v/h Noddevelt (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Careful 28) followed in third in 41.28 – making it an all-German podium in Leipzig.
“Fourth place yesterday with Dorette, second place today with Rockwell – that’s a great feeling here in this full arena," second placed Wargers said in a press release from Partner Pferde Leipzig. "That’s exactly what we work for every day."
"I am very content with the third place here,” Daniel Deusser – Brinkop's colleague at Stephex Stables – said. “It's only my second show with Gangster. I'm actually doing a bit of a trial with him at the moment, and he has already impressed me positively – also that he played so well along in the jump-off."
Andreas Schou (DEN) and Lady Corlina (Casiro x Corlensky G) finished fourth in 41.75, followed by Mynou Diederichsmeier (GER) aboard Quick and Fly (Quaid I x Balou du Rouet) in fifth in 41.88.
