Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP) recorded another win for the hosts at CSI5*-W Madrid Horse Week when taking the top honours in Saturday's 1.50m presented by UAX. Riding the 9-year-old mare Kardenta van 't Meerhof (Cardento x Concorde), Moya was the fastest in the winning round when stopping the clock at 36.89 seconds.
A second behind followed Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Solid Gold Z (Stakkato Gold x Calvin Z), while Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Chalou (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) came in third only 0.06 behind the German rider. Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Ulysse des Forets (Col Canto x Le Tot de Semilly finsihed fourth, while Luciana Diniz (POR) and Chacco Blue II (Chacco-Blue x Cincaba Rouge) ended fifth.
Earlier in the day, Pilar Lucrecia Cordon (ESP) won the 1.45m presented by Air Europa. Riding Seawillow (Sir Satchmo x Stakkato Gold), the Spanish rider crossed the finish line in 55.97 seconds. Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) ended second with Kingston van het Eikenhof (Epleaser van T Heike x Alexis Z), 0.25 seconds behind on the clock. Third place went to Victoria Gulliksen (NOR) on Ballenteskin Watch This (Iroko x Harlequin du Carel).
