Ibrahim Hani Bisharat (JOR) took a convincing win in the 1,45m Grand Prix qualifier at the CSI3*-W show in Al Ain. Bisharat rode Virus (Linton x Corrado I), and crossed the finish line to stop the clock at 64,31 seconds – more than two seconds faster than runners-up Vladimir Tuganov (RUS) and Suspens Floreval (Clinton).
Third place went to Abdulrahman Alrajhi (KSA) with Chilli Pepper van de Helle (Cumano x Sheyenne de Baugy), fourth place to Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi (UAE) with Cha Cha Cha 7 (Chacco-Blue x Quick Star) and fifth place to René Tebbel (UKR) with Cosun (Up to Date x Cavalier).
Thursday it was all about David Will (GER) – taking the two top spots in the 1,45 class with Cento du Rouet (Chintan x Balou du Rouet) and Mic Mac du Tillard (Cruising x Galoubet A). Michael Pender (IRL) came third with Acorad 3 (Acorado x Grosso Z).
