It was USA's Jessica Springsteen that went away with the win in Friday's feature class in Verona. The 1.55 Premio Prestige had 43 riders in it, and 13 of them moved on to the jump-off. Six again produced clear rounds against the clock, but Springsteen was the fastest at 31.24 seconds riding Davendy S (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Pachat II).

Runner-up was France's Simon Delestre on Hermes Ryan des Hayettes (Hugo Gesmeray x Ryon d'Anzex), who stopped the clock on 31.47 seconds. On 31.83 followed Italy's own Piergiorgio Bucci on Casallo Z (Casall x Carthago Z). Fourth went to Luca Moneta and fifth to Gerco Schröder.

"I have been riding Davendy S for a little over one year, but the connection with her was very fast to establish and I have already won a few classes at this level with her," Springsteen said after her win. "I love Italian shows because of the nice things Italy offers and I think Verona is one of the best indoor shows, because everything is very well organized and perfect to work with the horses. Moreover the schedules are great because we also have the time to enjoy the magic of Verona a little bit. On Sunday I will not be riding in the big classes because I still don’t have a horse for that level."

Earlier in the day home rider Roberto Previtali won the 1.50 Premio BMW on Fixdesign Lucaine (Lenardo x Salamander). Second was Australia's Edwina Tops-Alexander on Questina (Quidam's Rubin), while two more Italian riders followed in third and fourth - Juan Carlos Garcia and Giulia Martinengo Marquet.
