Delivering a double clear with a time of 65.80 in the second round, the Brazilian pair took the win ahead of the hosts’ Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi and Chacolu (Chaccomo x Baloubet du Rouet), who took the runner-up spot with a single time penalty from round two.
Sophie Hinners (GER) on Iron Dames Singclair (Singular LS La Silla x Cardento) placed third, followed by Sheikha Latifah Ahmed Almaktoum (UAE) on Cornet XL (Cornet Obolensky x Lex Lugar) in fourth and Shane Breen (IRL) aboard Scarteen (Golden Hawk x Chellano) in fifth.
The second CSI5*-W class of the day, the 1.55m presented by UAEERF went to Ireland’s Michael Pender on HHS Cyprus (Cornet Obolensky x Acorado) ahead of Georgia Tame (GBR) and Be Golden Lynx (Golden Hawk x Lux Z) in second and David Will (GER) aboard Xixo Borgia (Big Star x Sandro Boy) in third.
